Port Sunlight resident launches new book

Port Sunlight resident Jo Birch has written a new book about the village called ‘Port Sunlight and its People’. She took inspiration from an old accounts ledger that once belonged to William Lever but had been kept under lock and key for over 100 years.

You can join the author for a special book launch at William Lever’s former home at Thornton Manor on Wednesday 6th June 2018, 7pm-9pm. Tickets cost £20 for a single ticket and £30 per couple and include a signed copy of the book. Tickets are available from the following outlets:

For those who prefer to stay closer to home, Jo will also host a special evening in Port Sunlight on Tuesday 12th June at Hulme Hall. Jo will read from her new book and share extracts from William Lever’s personal account book. This event is FREE to attend.
